How do I unblock an IP address?
If you're getting a connection refused error or cannot access your website, cPanel, or email, your IP address may have been automatically blocked by the server firewall (CSF/LFD).
Why does this happen?
The firewall automatically blocks IP addresses that trigger too many failed login attempts or failed email authentication attempts. This is a security feature, not a punishment.
How to get unblocked
Open a support ticket with the following:
- Your IP address — find it at whatismyip.com
- What you were trying to access when you got blocked
- Your domain name
We can unblock your IP within minutes, 24 hours a day.
How to avoid getting blocked again
- Make sure your email client has the correct password saved — repeated failed logins are the most common cause
- If you recently changed your cPanel or email password, update it everywhere it's saved
- We can whitelist your IP permanently if you have a static IP — just ask
